What Our Clients Say
As a breastfeeding and pregnant mama, I always want to do everything I could to be able to produce what my son needs . But with that comes alot of things I honestly did not know the answers to until I came across Jessica. She is honestly the best. She answered all the questions I had and informed me about so much. I did not feel judged at all, which I truly appreciate. She is such a welcoming and sweet person, its so easy to talk to her about any concern I have about breastfeeding. I was so close to stop breastfeeding my son when i found out I was pregnant because I was misinformed by a doctor. I'm so glad I came across Jessica as she informed me properly about breastfeeding while pregnant and helped me ease my mind about every doubt I ever had. I'm now 25 weeks pregnant and still breastfeeding my 14 month old. Thank you Jessica, you truly are amazing!

Jessica has helped me with my breast-feeding/pumping journey with my daughter born December 8 of 2023. My daughter had latch issues when she was born and I decided after two weeks of breast-feeding that I was going to be an exclusive pumper. I had several blocked ducts and cracked nipples. Jessica suggested grapeseed oil, a tincture for my water and sunflower lecithin pills. The combination that she suggested has helped me deal with the severe clogs and cracked nipples. Without her support and confirmation and questions answered, I do not think I could have continued my pumping journey. This is my second pregnancy and I’ve had more issues pumping and breast-feeding than I did with my first child. I feel comfortable and confident in Jessica‘s knowledge and I know that no matter what time of day I need help she will be there with a quick response and support. She’s been open with her own breast-feeding journey and I know that she understands how hard it is to be an exclusive pumper. I’m blessed to have her in my life and as a wonderful resource!

This girl saved my breastfeeding journey!!! First time mom and didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t know about the flange sizing and how important it is to have the correct size. Jessica was able to size me via online. I purchased the flange she suggested. My pumping time was reduced by half and I was able to get more milk out. Definitely recommend her.

Not only will Jessica lead the way to a successful breastfeeding journey, she will instantly become a friend and a part of your family for life. She is there day or night to answer a call or a message. I desperately wanted to nurse my first child and Jessica right away stepped in to guide me. She showed me exactly what a proper latch looked like, and different positions to make the latch less painful in the beginning of your journey. She makes you feel comfortable and confident to nurture your baby anywhere. Jessica is a Huge motivator when you feel like giving up and trust me I had plenty of those moments in my journey and each time Jessica was there to save me. When I was battling postpartum depression, she constantly checked in on me and made sure both my daughter and myself were okay. With my second baby,I was determined to nurse him longer than my first and Jessica was right by my side to recommend the most effective pumps for when I returned to work and even guided me to use my very first handheld pump while my mom was prepping for a surgery and I forgot my cord for my electric pump. She even did video call with me to show me exactly how to construct the handheld pump. When you’re looking for a lactation consultant, you want to feel like you’re sitting with your best friend and know without a doubt that you and your child are in the best of hands and you will 100% get that feeling with Jessica. From painful latched, to tongue tie , mastitis and leaking breasts, her advise and pointers saved the day every time. Her passion to help moms and babies shines bright the second you meet her.

About me!
Hello everyone! My name is Jessica Rivera, mother of a breastfeeding toddler, former NICU and pediatric nurse and Lactation Consultant.
A little about my career. I became a Registered Nurse in 2013, where I began my career in the NICU and had my first ever experience with lactating mothers. As soon as I could I got my CBC (certified breastfeeding counselor) certificate and followed the lactation consultant’s around, learning everything I could from their knowledge and experience!
I shifted my career to Pediatrics in 2018, where I was a supervisor in an urgent care, worked with PICU and emergency room patients and everything in between. I missed my tiny babies and went back to the NICU where I was also given the opportunity to continue helping mamas with their lactation needs.
When I found out I was pregnant, I couldn’t wait to start my lactation journey. And to say it was easy, would be a lie! I thought everything I learned and knew would be enough, and it wasn’t. My baby and I struggled but thanks to the team of IBCLCs and OTs behind me, and my faith, my daughter Ivy and I have made it to 26 months of breastfeeding (as of July 2023) and no end in site.
During my first year in motherhood, I decided to get my IBCLC so I one day would be able to help mamas struggling with their journeys and lead them to their goals. I am happy to say that “one day” is now!
I am excited to launch my lactation practice, Chasing Lactation, where our motto is “Your Goals, Your Journey”. No two mom’s goals or journeys are alike. Let me help you with yours. You are not alone!
